Acknowledges receipt of despatch of 8 February concerning a petition from Samuel Hall Lord, Sarah Lord and Elizabeth Lord seeking a free pardon for 'a negro man slave' named Will transported in 1816. States that he can find no information about the case, but believes proceedings may have been forwarded by Lord Combermere under cover of his despatch of 28 June of 1818 [a copy of which is enclosed together with other papers].
