Report of Newman Knowlys on Thomas Lewis convicted at the Old Bailey on 22 May 1822 for stealing from the person, taking a watch, chain, key and ring, value in excess of £20 property of John Reid. Evidences supplied by John Reid, William Ridley, watchman and James Howden, a night 'patrole'. Initial sentence: [transportation for life?]. Recommendation: no mercy.
