Folio 135. Letter from G E Kirkland, Clerk to the Southwell Union, to the Local Government Board to inform the Board that the guardians at a meeting on 12 May 1899 unanimously resolved that 'Mr G E Kirkland be appointed Clerk to the School Attendance Committee at a salary of £21 per annum'. He asks for approval.
Annotation: J Kirkland appointed clerk to SAC Feb 1883 at £15, and Nov 1884 at £21.
Board prepared to approve salary if furnished with the usual understanding.
