Railway Control: informs that some of the Elected Members now take the view that the Railway Department should be controlled by a 'Board of Directors'. One of the Elected Members believes that the Board should have an executive durisdiction, i.e. power to over-rule the Director of Railway whenever he made a mistake. The Governor believes that this has not been the practice in any of the big Railways in England. He requests to be sent a statement explaining the functions which are performed by the Board of Directors of a typical English Railway.
