Original Bundle labelled 'Lopen Deeds prior to 1776 - C', cont:
Internal original bundle, labelled 'Lopen Manor Coppys', but containing paper presentments of admissions and surrenders, etc., of properties holden of the manors of Lopen, 1729-62(15), including a notice of the holding of a court, 1756, and Hinton St. George, Crewkerne, Chard, and Dinnington, all 1737(4). Copies of court roll of properties holden of the manor of Lopen, 1706-45(7), 1802-03(3). Leases and Counterpart Leases for 99 years and lives of properties holden of the manor of Lopen, 1700(2), 1701-75(92), 1803(1), including an Assignment, 1775. Various notes on paper of particulars of leasehold properties, circa 1800(6). (130 documents). Unlabelled bundle, apparently belonging to above containing Lease and Counterpart Lease for 99 years and lives of properties holden of the manor of Lopen, 1747(2); and various notes on paper of particulars of leasehold properties, circa 1800 (5; including a pinned file of 4 papers). Internal original bundle containing deeds relating to a close, parcel of the manor of Lopen, 1781-1820(4), including the Will of Benjamin Goodland of Hinton St. George, butcher, 1783 (proved at Taunton, 1783; later copy on paper). (4 documents). Internal original bundle, labelled 'Deeds relating to lands purchased of Messrs. Gifford & Watts', containing deeds, etc., relating to small properties in Lopen, 1787 and 1792 [copies made in 1840], 1839-40(8). Deed of Surrender of leasehold premises in Lopen, 1804. Counterpart Leases for 99 years and lives of properties holden of the manor of Lopen, 1805-18(32), 1844, with Assignments, 1810, 1853, Conveyance, 1811, Notice of intention of Assignment, 1814, and Release and Letters of Attorney for the surrender, 1847, of leasehold premises. Copy of court roll of property holden of the manor of Lopen, 1819. Various deeds relating to miscellaneous properties in Lopen, 1821-46(3). Conditions of an Auction for the sale of lands in Lopen, 1846. (54 documents). [Altogether 58 documents].
