To Elizabeth Tuke: nos 22 and 23 contain references to the Retreat; no 31 refers to the girls' school at York; no 38 refers to the death of W Tuke No 20 is addressed to J Wheeler - "if it should be thy lot to obtain this valuable woman [Elizabeth Tuke].. she will, indeed be an acquisition to thee". At the front of the book are copies of 2 letters to W Tuke, dated 1795 and 1814
