Orange Lodge, No. 141 [erased], St Peter Port, Guernsey

Annual returns giving names, professions and residence of members of the Orange Lodge [Antients] and general correspondence relating to the running of the lodge. Includes correspondence on the charges brought against Benjamin Mileham, former Secretary to the lodge.

The Orange Lodge was established in 1789 and named in 1800. The warrant was originally issued in 1763 but the lodge soon lapsed. In March 1789 Grand Lodge received a letter from the brethren in Guernsey praying for Warrant No. 116 to be revived. This petition was granted and the warrant was revived on the payment of 5 pounds and 5 shillings. In 1789 the lodge met at the Three Crowns, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands, the same location as the previous lodge. In 1796 the lodge moved to Coombe's Coffee House, Guernsey and in 1802 the lodge moved again, returning to their former meeting place at the Three Crowns, St. Peter Port, Guernsey. The lodge was erased in 1828.
