Lease and Release

1) John Stanier, gentleman, of Uppington

2) Humphrey Sandford, Esq., of the Isle.

Stanier in consideration of £3,276 from Sandford, grants and sells the capital messuage in Up Rossall alias the Isle of Rossall now in the tenure of Sandford and of Edward Edwards; and the other messuage and the Isle Pool in Up Rossall late in the possession of Timothy Seymour but now of Humphrey Sandford; the other messuages of Stanier in Up Rossall; to hold to Sandford to his use for ever.

Warranty against all lawful claimants; Stanier covenants that he is seised of a good and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple without any proviso or limitation of use, and he has full power to grant the property.Stanier covenants that at the request and cost of Sandford he will make a further assurance in the law for conveying the premises; Stanier covenants that he has not incumbered the property; Sandford is to possess the estate without trouble from Stanier, free from incumbrances.
