Administrative / biographical background

The Philanthropic Lodge was named and established in 1792 and met at the Red Lion, High Street, Skipton, Yorkshire. In 1802 the lodge met at the Hole-?in-?the-?wall, High Street, Skipton and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1851.
