Lyes Farm consisted of piece of Laughton Common (1a 2r 30p) (W: road from Laughton Gate to Halland; E: land of John Bartholomew) 1820 a copyhold tenement held of the manor of Laughton by a quitrent of 2s 6d and a heriot and fine certain of five shillings; it had been granted out of the manorial waste in 1762, described as: a piece of land (11/2a) on the Leigh of Laughton (S: Richard Gouldsmith; N,E,W: the Leigh of Laughton)
