Description

Summary of gift under will of 20 Dec. 1630 of John Ousley of Camberford Place in parish of Weldon, co. Northants. of fee farm rents and tenths issuing from lands in Alveley, Astley, Danv'all, Hartford, Haughton and Croft, co. Salop., which he bought of Sir Christopher Hatton, K.B., and others 29 Feb. 1626, to his nephew John Ousley, 2nd son of his brother, Richard Ousley, and heirs male; marginal note that Jonathan Ousley died without issue; note that the will was proved according to writer's cousin, John Ousley at Lincoln, at Peterborough, and afterwards at the Prerogative [C.C.?] in London.

Michaelmas 1670 John Ousley received his rents from Sir William Whittmore by hands of Wm. Bushopp and Wm. Bridges, and formerly by Bushopp, Richard Ridley, Edward Acton and Boldwyn paid themselves. The Lady Acton paid by Harrie Ellege. Thomas Fyther of Bridgnorth received it several years, and John Harris before him.
