Agreement (and counterpart) between Nehemiah Lamprey of Cropredy, co. Oxon. grocer, only surviving brother and heir of Thomas Lamprey late of Selsey Isle co. Bussex clerk deceased, and William Holbech of Farmborough co. Warwick esq. that the said Nehemiah would at the next court to be holden be admitted tenant of certain lands in Brookhampton in the manor of Little Kington, Combrook and Brookhampton, formerly of John Dalby, Dalby Thomas and Dorothy his wife, and John Thomas, and purchased of them by Ambrose Holbech gent. late grandfather of the said William, which lands however remained the proper estate and inheritance of the said William Holbech and his heirs, and Nehemiah Lamprey would be admitted only as nominal tenant, as his brother Thomas had been before him, Thomas had been admitted by Henry Parsons clerk his attorney at the court held 29 May 1728, and had declared that this was done at the nomination of William Holbech by indenture of 15 November in the same year.
