Administrative / biographical background

The Royal George Lodge was named and established in 1804 and met at the George Inn, South Street, Bridport, Dorset. In 1820 the lodge moved to the Greyhound, East Street, Bridport and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1832.
