This is a small solicitors' collection of 18th, 19th and 20th century documents deposited by Messrs. Wragg, consisting chiefly of title deeds, leases and mortgages with related papers. They relate to South Staffordshire and the Black Country.
A large proportion of the documents concern coal and ironstone mines and ironworks, in the Bilston area, at Kingswinford, Rowley Regis, at and near Sedgley, (including Iron Forge and Mills at Brierley), at Tipton, Wednesbury, Wednesfield, West Bromwich (especially the Dunkirk Estate), and Willenhall. The Williams family of coal and ironmasters are prominent here.

There are 19th and 20th century papers concerning the family of Joseph Cotterell of Walsall and Handsworth. In addition some 19th and 20th century documents, chiefly mortgages, relate to Chelsea Co Middlesex and to the estate of George Martin builder at Putney Barnes and Wandsworth. Messrs.
