Description (What the record is about)

Edward Smythe of Acton Burnell, Esq., eldest son and heir apparent of Sir Edward Smythe of Acton Burnell, baronet, is bound to Sir Edward Smythe in £4000.
Sir Edward by a bond of equal date is bound to Edward Smythe in £4000 that Sir Edward shall not fell without the consent of his son, during the life of Edward Smythe, the son, any oak timber trees in Acton Burnell Coppice numbered with white lead, and valued by Richard Cooper, agent of Sir Edward, at £3,023, or oaks marked with red lead under Acton Burnell Coppice in the Old House Ground valued at £586 - in all £3,609.
Now in consideration of the great expenditure of Sir Edward Smythe in the course of one and a half years in the travels and education of Edward Smythe, amounting to £2,200, Edward Smythe agrees if he survives his father, and if his brothers-in-law, George Walter Smythe, Hugh Philip Smythe, and William Smythe be then living, that Edward Smythe within 6 months after coming into possession of the estates in the settlement of Sir Edward before his marriage to his first Lady Dame Mary Smythe, deceased, secure out of a competent part to each of the said brothers in law for the life of each brother-in-law an annuity of £100.
Now if Edward Smyth within 6 months of the death of his father pay the annuity of £100 to his brothers-in-law for their lives, then this obligation is void.
