Administrative / biographical background

The Lodge of Unanimity No. 287 was established in 1792. In 1791 the lodge met at The Sun, Market Place, Stockport, Cheshire. In 1791 the lodge was known as the Beneficent Lodge but in 1792 it was renamed the Lodge of Unanimity. The Lodge now meets at the Masonic Guildhall, Wellington Road South, Stockport.
