20 horse power side lever boat engine for land, with 26¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke.Reverse plan of the engine house and boilers, cross-section of the engine house and longitudinal section of boiler, cross-section of boiler, longitudinal section of the engine house (4 drawings on 2 sheets, showing 4 engines). Both sheets bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 811. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 204.
For Charles Macintosh & Co. Mill, Manchester. The Catalogue of Old Engines states that this engine was alongside the 20 horse boat engine coded MK bought by Macintosh in 1835 [see Portfolio 5/1067]. Macintosh also bought a 30 horse engine, coded LY, in 1837 [see Portfolio 5/1052].
