Four undated cards sent to his family from Sandakan prisoner of war camp, Borneo, by an Aircraftman with the RAFVR who was captured on Java in 1942, an official telegram dated December 1945 informing his wife of his death in Japanese captivity in early February 1945, and a facsimile message of sympathy signed by King George VI.
