Includes one section plan: 1) 'Section of the intended breaker', with the scale: 300 inches to 50 feet. Survey shows coastline, jetties, topography, land use (quarries), buildings, land marks and remarks, including to revise a previous arrangement made in 1827, of a barrier on Mount Batten. Colour manuscript. North point, showing true and magnetic north (orientation to north east). Scale: 8.25 inches to 1000 feet. By J [Joseph] Whidbey, on the part of the Admiralty; Jas [James] M Rendel, on the part of the Earl of Morely, Civil Enguineer; witnessed by William Eastlake, Solicitor in Plymouth. Annotated with red ink: 'With Letter from Navy Board of 19 August 1829'. Endorsed with pencil: 'Plymouth'. Estimated date: 1827 to 1829, as suggested by remarks and annotation
