Recital of indenture 25 December 1792 (S.R.O.1267/14) which by mesne assignments and ultimately by indenture of 14 June 1814 (S.R.O.1267/20) vested in Thornes Edward Thornes by will 3 November 1813 appointed the Rev. Robert Hesketh, John Parry and George Hayward executors. By codicil of 16 September 1816 he revoked the appointment of Hesketh. The testator died in May 1818 and the will with 2 codicils was proved PCC 10 September 1818
