Description

This material arises from the depositor's personal involvement with organisations supporting striking miners and their families, including 'Women Against Pit Closures' and 'Miners and Families Christmas Appeal'. The deposit provides information on the development of grassroots organisations and the level of public support for miners and includes newspaper cuttings, reports about pit closures, correspondence and organisations' own literature (pamphlets and newspapers).
