Genre: Architectural Photography. India Museum No. 300. Received from Lieut. Cole 18.10.1869. Photograph no. 6 of H.H. Cole, 'Illustrations of buildings near Muttra and Agra' (India Museum, London, 1873). View from the south: 'It is, however, difficult to obtain a good view of the whole length of the temple, as the situation is overrun with small dwellings which have encroached up to the very walls, and the present photograph was taken from one of their flat roofs, which are not very accessible to the ordinary visitor' (Cole, p. 24).
