Papers of Mr & Mrs Thomas G Brookes and family. Mr Brookes originated from the Leek area, Wilgate Farm, Rudyard. Mrs Brookes was formerly Nellie Goodall, daughter of Mr & Mrs Thomas Goodall of Birch House, Ednaston, Brailsford, Derby. Mr & Mrs Brookes farmed firstly (according to our records) at Gratton Hall Farm, Endon, from approximately 1903 to 1915, when they moved to 'The Grove', Blymhill, where they farmed until 1965. They had five daughters and one son - Irene, Joyce, Beryl, Dorothy, Kathleen and Benjamin.
