Photostat copies of six ts letters (1p each), concerning the provision by the Anzac Club in Singapore of welfare services for the officers and men of the AIF in Malaya, January 1942 and of two ms letters (12pp) from W R Reynolds, a civilian previously resident in Malaya, written in May and June 1943 and describing his escape in a fishing boat from Singapore to Sumatra in February 1942, his subsequent attempts to help other stragglers in Sumatra and its outlying islands evade capture by the Japanese during the weeks following the fall of Singapore and his journey by small boat from Sumatra to India in late March 1942.
