(a) John Diggens of Chichester, esq., (b) Robert Turner of Bognor, yeo., and George Collins of Chichester, cordwainer (devisees in trust under the will of William Newman of Chichester, gardener, decd.), William Newman of Chichester, gardener (eldest son and heir of said William Newman, decd.), and James Newman of Chichester, gardener, (c) Richard Dally and William Raper, both as in Add Mss1134
Right of ditch room, and full liberty to use and enjoy a road or way over the said ditch room with horses, waggons, carts, cattle and carriages
From (a) and (b), according to their several estates and interests [see (i) and (ii) below], to (c), to hold upon the trusts, as in Add Mss1135. Of the consideration money, £1.10s.0d is paid to (a), and £1.10s.0d to (b)
Recites: (i) that (a) is possessed of a freehold close of meadow ground in New Fishbourne, the easternmost hedge of fence of part whereof abuts upon a close of meadow land (2a.) lately belonging to John Leggatt, as in Add Mss1128, but now to (c) as trustees for his creditors, and that (a) is in right of his said close entitled to ditch room of the width of three feet lying E. of the said hedge or fence and next to that part of the footpath or driftway of the said 2a which leads immediately into another close of meadow land (6a.) also lately belonging to said John Leggatt, but now to (c) as trustees; (ii) that (b) are possessed of freehold lands, now made as nursery grounds, in New Fishbourne, the westernmost hedge or fence of part whereof abuts upon the said 2a., and that (b) in right of their said grounds are entitled to ditch room of the like width of three feet lying W. of their said hedge or fence and next to that part of the said footpath or driftway leading out of the said 2a. into the said 6a.; (iii) that it would greatly facilitate the sale of the said lands late of the said John Leggatt and would be a great accommodation to the purchaser thereof if the right of (a) and (b) to the said ditch rooms were given up and such purchaser could have the absolute use of a way or road out of the 2a. into the said 6a, with horses, cattle, carts, waggons and carriages over the said ditch rooms respectively (which have for many years past been filled up) without any claim from the proprietors and occupier of the adjoining lands

The deed is endorsed with two receipts, each for £1.10s.0d., given respectively by John Diggens, and by Robert Turner, George Collins, William Newman and James Newman, according to the terms therein.)]
