Description (What the record is about)

Settlement between Bolckow, Vaughan and Co. Ltd. and The Bishop Auckland Industrial Co - operative Flour and Provisional Society Ltd. Alleged that property belonging to the Society in Old Shildon County Durham, namely two dwelling houses and shops had been damaged by the mining operations of the company. A report of the examination of the said properties by surveyor John Braithwaite found that their had been damage and it was decided that the sum of three hundred and twenty eight pounds would be paid to the society for compensation. Includes correspondence letters.
