Description: Joseph Orton of Wolvey, Warws, now of Longford in the parish of Foleshill, Warws, to David Wilkinson of Exhall, Warws, baker and Joseph Smart of Meriden, Warws, farmer of (1) Several fields in Exhall, the Field Close, the Horse Holts Close, the Great Holts Close, the Rye Holts Close and Little Holts Close, all part of Mary Staffords Farm, formerly occupied by Richard Smart and now occupied by Richard Smart Northey (2) Burney's Close, formerly owned by Richard and William Smart, lately occupied by Richard Smart Northey. David Wilkinson is to hold the estate for life, subject to an annuity of £20 to the use of Joseph Smart to the use of David Wilkinson. Deeds recited; 1 August 1849 Mortgage to secure £1,700 from Richard Smart Northey (Mortgagor) to Charles Banks and Thomas Schumann Morris (Mortgagees) subject to an annuity of £20 to be paid to Jane, widow of John Busby of Foleshill labourer, deceased, for life. 1 Sept. 1853. Indenture of transfer for £2,700 from; Charles Banks and Thomas Schumann Morris to Joseph Orton.
