Description

Particulars and Conditions of Sale of land (and property) at Wilden, Colmworth and Blunham to be sold by W & H Peacock at the George Hotel, Bedford on 10th September 1904 by direction of the executor of the late George Mayes, viz:

Wilden

(a) Two cottages near the church, occupied by Messrs Frank & Johnson

(b) Carlton Cottage, Colmworth Road, and outbuildings and 5 acres of arable land, let to Joseph Franks

(c) Two cottages occupied by Messrs Cope and Carter; and a dwelling house and other buildings including a summer house let to W King (c 3 acres) Colmworth

(d) Two cottages with outbuildings near the Wheatsheaf and 1a 2r of garden ground now occupied by Messrs Infield and Peet

(e) Cottage and out-buildings at -The City- with 3r of garden ground let to George Cook

(f) Two cottages and outbuildings at The Dean, Channel End, with well (4a 3r) occupied by Messrs Abrahams and Mawby

Blunham

(g) Three cottages etc at White Horse Lane let to Messrs Little, Battle and Bone (Copyhold of the Manor of Blunham)

Conditions of sale derive title back as follows:

(a) Conveyance of 15th October 1870 (Harrison and Northern to Mayes)

(b) Conveyances of 22nd December 1893 (Wildman Mayes) and 2nd January 1869 (Pestell to Mayes)

(c) Conveyances of 22nd June 1881 (Mayes to Mayes) and 4th June 1884 (Whyley and Rev Edmund Foule to Mayes)

(d) Conveyances of 3rd October 1887 (Hives to Mayes)

(e) Conveyances of 11th February 1888 (Scarborough to Mayes) and 18th July 1889 (Wade Gery to Mayes)

(f) Conveyance of 8th September 1883 (Joyce to Mayes)

(g) Admissions of 28 October 1887 and 21 November 1890
