- Acquired by Sion College in 1711 with the library of Thomas James, bookseller and printer, variously described as a grandson or great grandson of Thomas James (1572/3-1629). See William Reading, 'Bibliothecae cleri Londinensis in Collegio Sionensi catalogus' (London, 1724) with shelfmarks C12-16. On the James bequest of some 3,000 books see the Sion College Book of Benefactors (Sion L40.2/E64), pp. 128-160. Transferred from Sion College to Lambeth Palace Library, 1996.
