Collection in five parts, comprising:. Photo 947/1. 56 exterior and interior photographs of 22 Theatre Road, Calcutta. Photo 947/2. 7 photographs of Indian metalware, including Buddha images. Photo 947/3. 54 photographs of Indian scenery and architecture: locations include Gaya, Charioktal, Tanazen, Kakotat (Bihar) and Hardwar. Photo 947/4. 34 photographs of Lady Mabel Holmwood, her family, servants and other groups. Photo 947/5. 9 photographs of Indian temple architecture at Umga, Suraj, Deo. Note: The collection appears to have been compiled by Lady Mabel Holmwood, wife of of Sir Herbert Holmwood ICS, a High Court Judge in Calcutta in the early 20th century.
