Page of newspaper cuttings found loose in AD 1082/4 and largely relating to the Longhurst & Skinner fire, Midland Road, Bedford, in 1912. Material is as follows:
- photograph of the store at the height of the fire;
- photograph of a crowd watching the smoking ruins;
- photograph of Fireman Hopkins (later Second Officer) who was injured;
- report of Fireman Cooke escaping injury whilst at an escape drill, falling from a ladder but cushioned on impact with the ground by the dummy he was carrying.
