These records consist principally of the deeds and papers of the clients of Graham-White & Co., solicitors. The predecessors of this firm had practised in Launceston from at least the beginning of the nineteenth century and had had their offices in Westgate Street from at least the 1880s.

After 1957 the firm was known successively as Wilson, Parnall & Godwin; Parnall, Godwin & Chegwin; Parnall, Finn, Langsford & Busby; and now (1990) Parnall Langsford but no records of this period are held.
In 1929 the firm purchased the business of Cowlard and Cowlard, solicitors, following the death of the last partner therein.
