Description

Loose copy prints of Beato portraits taken at the time of the Mutiny. Print 1, Group of officers and men of the 1st Bengal European Fusiliers. Print 2, Thomas Kavanagh, VC. Print 3, Colonel Henry Tombs, VC. Print 4, Lord Clyde with Sir William Mansfield. Print 5, Major General Sir Hope Grant. The collection is accompanied by a typescript essay, Unpublished photographs of Mutiny heroes by Oliver Warner, which gives a brief history of the original photographs and of the subjects.
