Description

Between (a) the surviving executors as in Add Mss 18121 of William Cobden Rhoades (b) John Moresby of Chichester, Rear Admiral R.N. and (c) George Tyler Peskett of Shopwyke near Chichester, farmer

(1) Property as in Add Mss 18119, but formerly in occ. Rev. John Fullager, later of George Cash and now of Mrs. Lemmon

The coach house etc. are not mentioned

(2) Piece of ground and the messuage thereon in occ. of William Vick, adjoining E. six cottages known as Elm Grove Cottages belonging to (a) above, W. Tower St., N. the lane within the North Walls of Chichester and S. property (1) above

(a) to (c); (b) covenants to produce certain deeds if requested

Recites the will dated 5 August 1874 of William Cobden Rhoades, who died in 1878, by which he devised all his real estate except lands subject to mortgage to executors, who were to manage the same for 10 years after his death applying the profits (1) to the interest upon his mortgages (2) to the payment of a certain annuity (3) to redeeming his mortgages; and in which he ordered that as soon as the mortgages had been redeemed or the ten years expired, whichever was sooner, the estate was to be valued, divided in two equal parts and conveyed as he directed, subject to the said annuity; and recites that the recipient of the said annuity predeceased the testator; also recites the Order of the High Court dated 31 July 1886 mentioned above
