Indenture Articles of Agreement
1. Paul Espinas of Dublin, Brewer
And nephew Wm Espinas
with 2. Robert Gibton of Dublin, merchant and Richard Giraghty of Abbytorne, Roscommon, Gent
(Exors of late Jn Gunning)
and 3. Geo Gunning of Castlecoot, Roscommon, Esq
Geo French of Dublin, Cordwainer and Francis Skiddy of Dublin, Gent
[William Espinas married the 17 year old Mary, daughter of Jn Gunning without the permission of the latter's relatives; a dispute had arisen re Jn Gunning's legacy of £700 to his daughter, Mary]
Agreement that Paul Espinas shall pay £300 and that J Gunning's executors shall pay £300 and £100 on trust to invest and to pay interest to Wm and Mary and their family
also it was agreed that Wm Espinas on his death shall leave to Mary £700 'above the provisions herein before made'
