Notes, correspondence, drawings, photographs, etc., of Horace William Sandars, VPSA (d. 1922), relating to the early history of mining, particularly in Spain; c.1903-20. Partly Spanish. Sandars's interest in mining arose from his professional concerns in Spain and Romania. For his publications see below. See also a communication on the Ibero- Roman silver jewellery from Villacarillo, Spain, in Proc., 2nd ser., 28 (1915-16), 56-63; 'Notes on "La Mina de la Plata"' (typescript in SAL; published in Spanish, 1924); note on recent archaeology in Spain, A.J., 1 (1921), 342-4.
