Services were first held at Borehamwood in 1889 by the Rector of Elstree in a small room owned by Mrs Robinson. An appeal was launched to buy land for a Mission Room. In 1899 a decision was taken to build a Church, which was completed in 1909. All Saints Borehamwood also became a parish in 1909. St Michaels (new) Church was built in 1954 and the district formed in 1957. Holy Cross Church was built as a daughter Church to All Saints, in 1951. In 1979 the parishes of All Saints and St Michaels were joined to form a Team Ministry with three Districts, one around each church.
