Correspondence of Matthew Frank (previously Ashton). d.1715.
He was a Hamburg merchant and subsequently succeeded his brother Edward at Campsall. The letters are from his wife Anne, and various business men concerning his creditors and the succession to the estate. Sir George Tempest, his niece's husband, is mentioned in many of them. A number are addressed to Hamburg but they contain nothing about the Hamburg trade.
