13th Feb. 1869. Notice from John Walker, for the Sanitary Committee, to Peter Peddie of Lower Bridge Street, that, within seven days, the walls and ceilings of the house of which he is tenant in Rock Yard, Lower Bridge Street, must be cleaned and limewashed.
19th Feb. 1869. Report from Th. Eyres (?) concerning consumption of gas in Folkestone for lighting.
March 1869. F.J.Lovett, Great Boughton, for County Overseers, to Mr. Paul, giving the names of Edward Tasker, White House, Dee Banks, and Wilson Bewley, gardener, Christleton Road.
10th April 1869. Printed Summons to attend a Monthly meeting of the Council at the Savings Bank, Grosvenor Street, on Wednesday, 14th April, with a note of business.
13th May 1869. Jas. Paul to Mr. Bishop, Bridge St. Row, West, asking for the names and addresses of the Churchwardens and Overseers of his parishes. Endorsed with J. Bishop's reply, giving the names as desires, for St. Michael's, St. Peter, St. Martin and St. Olave.
13th May 1869. Jas. Paul to Mr. Jackson, Watergate Street asking for the names and addresses of Church-wardens and Overseers of Trinity Parish. Endorsed with reply giving the information required.
13th May 1869. Jas. Paul to Mr. J. Dodd, Egerton St., asking for the names and addresses of Church-wardens and Overseers re St. John's Parish. With note by J. Dodd that they are the same as last year in each case.
13th May 1869. Note of the names of the Churchwardens and Overseers for St. Bridget's.

22nd May 1869. .. Clerk from Hermitage, Hoole, to Jas. Paul, giving the names of Overseers as John Dinwoodie, Faulkner Street, and Geo. F. Ward, Derby Place, both of Hoole.
8th July 1869. Circular letter from John Walker, Town Clerk, Public Offices, Lower Bridge Street, He is desired by the Mayor to request attendance at a Preliminary meeting to be held at the above address on Monday 12th July to consider the desirability of adopting measures for the repression of mendicity and vagrancy in reference to which a circular will have already been received.
n.d. Rough note of motion that some new measures in Chester are desirable for the repression of mendicity & vagrancy & the ... relief of the deserving poor.
n.d. Edward Williams to the Mayor and Town Council. Having learned that in consequence of the proposed resignation of Mr. W.Lowe, it is their intention on Friday next to appoint a new Collector for the Police and Watch Rates, he begs to apply.
10th July 1869. Letter from the Assistant Secretary of the Society for Organizing Charitable Relief, and Repressing Mendicity, 15 Buckingham Street, Strand, sending, at Lord Grosvenor's request, copies of reports of meetings of the Society which have been held in the metropolis.
11th July 1869. H.Smith from Nicholas Street, to Mr. Walker, stating that he is unable to attend the meeting tomorrow to which the Mayor has invited him. The subject is one of national importance.
3rd Sept. 1869. Joseph Pleavins from County Asylum, Chester to Mr. Paul, asking for the return of his testimonials.

29th Sept.1869. Notice from John Walker, of the Court for the revision of Burgess Lists to be held on 1st Oct. next.
18th Oct.1869. Jas Paul to Mr, J.Rogers, Pepper Street, asking whether they may have the use of a room at the Consolidated School, Hunters Walk, for the election of Councillors on Monday, 1st Nov. next. Reply on dorse.
18th Oct.1869. Jas Paul to Mr. Beswick, asking for the use of a room for the same purpose at the Diocesan Schools, George Street; with reply.
