Folios 454-458. Letter from Charles Wright, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board, regarding the Auditor's Surcharge and enclosing a formal appeal from R C Browne [Richard Charles Browne], Chairman of the Union, together with a copy of the Auditor's certificate and his reasons for the decision, as requested by the Board in their letter of 19 August 1873.
Copy of the Auditor's certificate from J Thornely [John Thornely], dated 25 June 1873.
Letter from R C Browne of Elsing Hall, Dereham, Chairman of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, dated 27 August 1873, appealing against the surcharge levied upon him by the District Auditor regarding the extra medical fees paid to Henry Raven, Medical Officer.
Annotated: 'Advise remittance be granted.' 29 August 1873.
