Cook for £17. 12s. 5d. : Excise paid on malt and cost of production - on 6½ qrs. of malt the excise was £2. 1s. 4½d., cost of making it 16s. 3d.; bag of maltdust, 1s. 6d.; paid the tollgates to Beaushall (Wa .), 1s. 2d.; oranges, 1s. 6d., etc. £16. 5s. 6d. paid in part for barley has been added totalling £33. 17s. 11d.
