SSC/13/1/1: letter dated 19th October 1750 (?) copy possibly in Bruce's hand to Mr. Mackenzie about family matters, in particular his wife and brother-in-law.

SSC/13/1/2: letter dated 9th May 1766 from Tunis to Mr. Mackenzie, describing a journey in the hinterland of Tunis.

SSC/13/1/3: letter dated 29th April 1768 from Nazareth to Mr. Mackenzie, on his sufferings from fever, proposed future travels, details his way of life.

SSC/13/1/4: letter dated 18th June 1773 from Marseilles to Mr. Mackenzie, about his quarantine at the Lazarette in Marseilles, and adding codicil to his will.

SSC/13/1/5: letter dated 20th October 1773 from Bologna to Mr. Mackenzie, concerning the management of his coal mine in Scotland.

SSC/13/1/6: letter dated 10 June 1774 from Paris to Mr. Mackenzie, further on the coal mine, also concerning division of his lands with those of Sir Lawrence Dundas.

SSC/13/1/7: letter dated 6th September 1779 to his engraver Mr. Walker, from Princes St. Edinburgh.

SSC/13/2: Three letters between Ronald Campbell Macfie and RGS August -September 1924 offering to sell the above letters (SSC/13/1) to the RGS.

Seven letters, various dates, 1758-89, which refer to personal affairs, except for the letter to Mr. Mackenzie from Tunis, 9 May 1766, which describes a journey in the hinterland of Tunis. Also three letters regarding the sale of the these letters to RGS.
