For duty on personal estate of Thomas Garnett of Bank House, Barbon near Kirkby Lonsdale, priest of Church of England who died 17 August 1859, will proved by Mary Fleming Garnett, widow and executrix, of Bank House, Barbon, on 10 November 1860; Mary Fleming Garnett died on 2 October 1862; duty paid on legacy of £2,000 to Anne Dobson Smith, stranger in blood, in two instalments on 7 January and 25 April 1865, duty being paid on 10 January and 26 April 1865.
