Early Zionist invitation card found inside second-hand book formerly belonging to Bertram Benas of Liverpool. Jechiel Tehlenow (Yechiel Tschlenow), 1864-1918, was a Moscow physician and one of the leaders of Russian Zionism. He was elected to the Zionist executive at the 11th Zionist Congress in Vienna in 1913. He played a part in the negotiations for the Balfour Declaration and died in London in 1918.
