Administrative / biographical background

In 1957 the South Lonsdale and Hornby Petty Sessions Divisions were amalgamated to form a single division. In 1974 these were in turn amalgamated with the Morecambe and Lancaster Divisions to form the Lancaster Petty Sessions Division (see PSL).
