The inaugural meeting was chaired by W.G.Poole and attended by F.Corby, representative of the Bedford Borough Fire Brigade, Messrs C.Zehnder, G.R. Webster and Laederach of Britannia Iron & Steel Works Ltd., F Lack of Igranic Electric Co. Ltd., F Reynolds of the Bedford District Gas Co. and Messrs J.W.Boddy, A.Walker and W.H.Martin of W.H.Allen Sons & Co. Ltd, with apologies from Meltis Ltd., W.H.A.Robertson & Co. Ltd. and Cryselco Ltd. This bundle also includes minutes of the Competition Sub-Committee [1939-1942] and a list of member companies.
