Description (What the record is about)
-
Apsley House.--"Permit me to trouble your Lordship with the inclosed Bill which, I trust, will tomorrow be brought up to our House. Your Lordship is well acquainted with the misconduct and various grievances of county courts. The Bill is to substitute a less oppressive and less expensive administration of justice in my court, which takes in near a sixth part of the county of Gloucester. It is with the general approbation of the Justices and all persons concerned. I got the Master of the Rolls and the Attorney-General to peruse and model it in the Commons, and will be obliged to your Lordship for giving me your opinion of it." Any of Lord Kenyon's suggestions will be adopted.
