Most of the maps are drafts, including a large number of draft inclosure maps. Many of these show also pre-inclosure boundaries.
The greater number are the work of Alexander Watford of Cambridge and cover the period 1808 - 1840; but there are also maps by Edwards Gibbons of Castor, Northants, 1801, James Richardson of Cambridge, 1828 - 1832, John King of Saffron Walden, 1834 - 1872, Simeon John King of Saffron Walden, 1847, G.J. Smith, 1873-5, J. Freeman, 1779, William Smith of Cambridge, 1809 - 1812, Martin Nockolds of Saffron Walden, 1856, Richard Kynaston Sumerfield of Borough Green (later of Aylesford, Kent), 1801, and William Collisson of Brackley, Northants, 1802
