Lease and release between Charles Walcot and Humphrey Walcot, esqs; Conveyance of Edgton and Sibdon.
Release made between Charles Walcot, esq., son of John Walcot, Esq. and Humphrey Walcot, Esq.; reciting indentures of lease and release of 20 and 21 January 1696/7, witnessing that in consideration of £3500 paid by Humphrey Walcot to Charles Walcot for purchase of messuages, lands and hereditaments, the manor of Sipton alias Sibdon Carwood with its appurtenances, several messuages and lands lying in Sibdon, late in the possession of Charles Bird, John Jordan, Thomas Tipton, Edmund Carter, Thomas Bird, Edward Bird, Samuel Nethway, John Oliver, John Griffiths, Richard Weaver, Thomas Robinson, William Jordan, Henry Russell, Evan Anthony, John Matthews, or undertenants, the parochial chapels of Edgton and Sibdon and the impropriations of Edgton and Sibdon, and all tithes, oblations and glebe lands late of John Walcot, and the advowsons of the chapels, several parcels of land called Stocking lands and Slung in the townships of Broom and Rowton, late in the occupation of Thomas Tipton, the messuage or tenement in the township of Whitcott Keysett and parish of Clun, late in the possession of William Phillips and all commons, appurtenances, etc., with one sheep walk upon the Riddings in the Forest of Clun, late in the possession of Edward Bowen of the Bryne in Clun, and all other messuages of John Walcot the elder in Sibton, with reversions, etc. To hold by Humphrey Walcot and his assigns forever. Executed by Charles Walcot and Humphrey Walcot and properly attested.

Lease and release made between 1. Humphrey Walcot, esq., and Ann his wife, and 2. Richard Fleming of Shadwell, gent., of Salop.
In consideration of £2410 paid by Richard Fleming to Humphrey Walcot, release by Humphrey Walcot of the manor of Sibdon alias Sipton Carwood, the capital messuage called the Hall or Old Castle with lands belonging in Sibdon, then in the possession of Richard Bird, those several messuages and lands in the tenure of Widow Russell, Francis Williams, William Matthews, the parochial or free chapels of Edgton and Sibdon, and all tithes, oblations and advosons of the chapels, the messuage with lands belonging upon a waste called the Forest of Clun, called Comb Mosh, together with one sheep walk upon the Riddings in the said Forest, in the possession of Edward Bowen, and after of John Walcot, brother of Humphrey Walcot, on part of which last mentioned tenement the same John built the dwelling house upon the site or near to the place where the ancient house stood, and all houses, lands, etc. pertaining to the manor, messuages, chapels and glebe lands; except reserving to Humphrey Walcot the capital messuage and lands in the occupation of John Tasker, a messuage and lands in the occupation of Samuel Nethway, a messuage and lands of Thos Bird, a messuage and lands in the occupation of John Carter, a messuage and lands in the possession of Francis Tipton, a messuage and lands of Thomas Haycock, another messuage and lands of John Carter, 2 messuages and lands of John Oliver, senior and junior, messuage and lands of John Griffiths, a messuage and lands of Edward Bird,jnr., or Evans, a cottage and lands in the occupation of Edward Russell, and the tithes issuing out of all the messuages and lands, which lands above mentioned owners agreed should be subject to the Court baron held for the manor of Sibdon. To have and to hold to the use of Richard Fleming and his heirs forever. Covenant by Humphrey Walcot and Ann his wife to levy 1 fine before the end of Hilary term next of lands and premises thereby released.
Executed by Humphrey and Ann Walcot and properly attested, endorsed, signed and witnessed.
Hilary Term 12 George I (1725/6)
Fine levied between Richard Fleming and Humphrey Walcot and Ann his wife, and Richard Browne and Hannah his wife, defors., of the manor of Sibdon Carwood, with appurtenances, and of 7 messuages, 30 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 100 acres of pasture, 10 acres of wood, 100 acres of furze and heath in Sibdon Carwood and Edgton, Biston and in the parish of Clun, and of the free chapels of Sibdon and Edgton, and all tithes and oblations growing, renewing and coming in Edgton and Sibdon Carwood.
