Settlement between Bolckow, Vaughan and Co. Ltd. and Mr Nicholas Brown Lamb referring to the damages to a house and shop situated in Collingwood Street and eight houses situated in North Terrace Coundon, belonging to him had sustained damage due to the company's mining operations in the area. A Mr Braithwaite suggests that a sum of eighty five pounds should be paid by means of compensation. Further correspondence takes place over ten years, Mr Lamb informing the company of further damages, however no further offers of compensation are made after the eighty five pounds is paid.
